教学目的:
1.介绍双语词典学的基本理论、词典编纂原则及相关的词典类型等;
2.培养学生从事双语词典编纂及理论研究的能力;
3.通过对双语词典理论的认识和实际编纂的训练,学生能够独立从事双语词典的编纂实践和理论研究。
教学要求与形式:
本课程要求学生对双语词典的基本理论及双语词典的编纂原则具有一定的认识和掌握,并且运用双语词典的理论能够进行双语词编纂的实际操作。为了让学生能够较快地掌握双语词典编纂的技巧,本课程采用编纂实践为主、理论为辅的教学模式,即采用讲座、学生报告、双语词典的实际编纂及课堂讨论相结合的模式。
关于讲座:
讲授双语词典的相关理论和双语词典编纂实践的有关事项
关于学生报告:
1.学生就双语词典的理论进行研读、报告起草和汇报等;
2.学生可以以PPT形式或书面形式汇报,报告应提前予以审阅、修订;
3.报告应包括相关内容、评价、应用及参考文献等。
双语词典的实际编纂:
学生定期提交编纂完成的双语词典样本,该样本应符合规定的词典的体例及相关信息的处理。教师对所提交的词典样本进行评述,就其中存在的问题进行评价和指导。

Course Objectives:
1) Introduce the basic theories of lexicography, principles for dictionary-making and related categories of dictionaries,
2) Help students to develop capabilities in making bilingual dictionaries and doing theoretical researches,
3) In acquiring the knowledge of theories on bilingual lexicography and practicing dictionary-making, students can independently make bilingual dictionaries and conduct theoretical research on lexicography.
Teaching Requirements and Forms:
In this course students are required to acquire and master the basic principles of bilingual lexicography and dictionary-making, and with the application of theses principles to do field work. Thus the course is rendered by the combination of lectures, student reports, field work and in-class discussions.
On Lectures:
Relevant theories and matters are rendered concerning bilingual lexicography and bilingual dictionary-making.
On Student Reports:
1) Reading books about theories on bilingual lexicography, drafting reports and giving representations in class,
2) Reporting in PPT form, submitted to the instructions before class for due evaluations and corrections,
3) Each report including field work, evaluations and relevant literature.
On Field Work:
Students are supposed to submit finished dictionary samples, which comply to the style of the dictionary and the handling of relevant information.
The instructor make comments on the samples and necessary corrections and instructions are to be rendered.
